Parent-Mediated Intervention

Children on the Autism spectrum require a consistent routine and a follow up or repetition of activities/ exercises at home, for their therapies to show optimum results or progress. It is crucial for the parents to be equally involved in the intervention exercises.
Through this program, CADRRE extends support to the parents of autistic children by training them, providing them the know-how and understanding of effective ways of working with their children on various intervention techniques
Supported by donations raised by CADRRE and will be free-of-cost to deserving families

• Children below 6 years of age who show symptoms of ASD will be assessed using formal diagnostic tools.

The children selected for the program will be given
• intense training for 3 weeks in the presence of their parents, thereby training theparents to work with their children’.

o based on an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) made by an inter-disciplinary team comprising of an occupational therapist, speech language pathologist and psychologist
o for 4 hours per day

• ongoing support for 2 years.

o 1-hour weekly online session with the parent to review the progress and IEP
o 4-hour monthly in-person session attended by parent and child
