The festival is open to short films of one to five minutes duration, made in any part of the world.
Only films completed after 1 January 2023 will be eligible for entry.
Films should not portray negative messages about disability or promote enmity towards any country, religion, race or gender. Films must not contain pornography, offensive or defamatory statements intended to harm anybody.
All films must carry English subtitles irrespective of the language of the film.
Synopsis of the film should be provided during the registration process.
Films must be complete in all respects, no work-in-progress entries will be considered.
Filmmakers are responsible for sorting out the copyright of their films. The festival places no restrictions on any applicant’s work in terms of premiere status or whether the work has been made available online.
Films should be entered into the festival by an authorized person like director or producer or rights holders.
Films must be non-watermarked.
Applicants may submit more than one film by paying a separate registration fee.
Students can receive a fee waiver by presenting a valid ID card to the festival authorities.
Films selected by the nomination committee will be intimated by email. Once a film is confirmed as selected, it cannot be withdrawn from the festival.
Finalists will be invited to attend the festival.
The decision of the Jury will be final and binding.
The festival will not provide feedback on the entries or specific reasons for the rejection of any entry.
Any technical issues with the submitted films are solely the responsibility of the filmmakers. If, at the time of judging, the video file doesn’t work or doesn’t have English subtitles it will be automatically rejected, without a refund.

By submitting your entry, you give the festival consent and the right to screen your film in front of a live audience as well as online.
Submitting the film implies the applicant’s acceptance of the festival’s rules and regulations as outlined here. The festival exempts itself from any legal or other actions associated with this matter, indemnifying against potential consequences.
The applicant would be wholly responsible for any claims made by other people and indemnify CIFFA from potential consequences.
If selected for the festival, the applicant must undertake to provide publicity materials, stills, clippings, etc. for promotion.
The winners should share the rights to their film with CADRRE for promotion and other purposes.
The festival reserves the right to update these rules and regulations.
